COVID-19 Position Statement

Posted: Tuesday 13th, July 2021 Time: 01:43:25 pm

The Government has announced the lifting of all limits on social contact and how many people can meet in any setting.

The risks from COVID-19 have not disappeared and people need to manage the risks to themselves and to others as the country learns to live with the virus.

Importantly, it currently remains a legal requirement for people to self-isolate if they test positive or are told to do so by NHS "Test and Trace".

Individuals may choose to limit the close contact they have with those they do not usually live with to reduce the risk of catching or spreading COVID-19, particularly if they are clinically extremely vulnerable.

It is important to respect and be considerate to those who may wish to take a more cautious approach.

The Government is continuing to monitor data to ensure there is no danger of the NHS facing unsustainable pressure and will review the Coronavirus Act and remaining regulations in the early autumn to consider which requirements need to continue thereafter.

The Officers and Committee of the Richmond Dog Show Society are committed to staging the 2021 show on 10-12 September 2021 albeit in full compliance with any regulations and/or guidance that may be introduced prior to or remain in place at the time of the show.
